This is homemade willow charcoal used in fireworks making being shoveled and dropped on itself in a metal basket. I liked the "twinkling" sound and thought it would be a good first audio sample to upload here. Recorded on my zoom h2n x/y position in northern california. Standard wav.

Used the 'abstract hip hop kit' samples that come with reason's soundbank. First part of loop is dry with no effects except eq, second part is more processed. Sample pattern: a1 x2 | a2 x2effects: equalized all the samples. First half is dry in that no extra effects apart from eq are used; second part of the loop is actually two copies of the same loop with one of them containing extreme compression after some unison (detuning) and ~30ms delay. You can use this commercially with proper crediting, but please let me know where and how you use it - seeing this used will really make me happy. :).

Was cooking a ham steak one night and when poking it with a fork noticed it made some awesomely gross sounds, lol. So, like any astute audio lover, i grabbed my zoom and recorded it! did my best to not rattle the stove or anything on it. I'll put it as creative commons, since who really goes through and credits every single random sound file they downloaded on any given internet scourge? but i'm always interested to see how the sound are used - especially this one ;). Ambience birds singing in a park on a nice spring day. Recoded on my roland r-26 48khz 24bit.

I recorded a pretty gnarly storm on 8/25 around 1:30 am. The cars are off the road but you still get that city reflection. I placed two rode nt5s in my living room windows and set them to record for about nine minutes. It wouldn't be great for an outdoor situation but it's a good "thunderstorm from an apartment in the city" recording. It's in 16 44. 1, stereo. Use it for whatever you want, no credit needed. -jp.
